Half a T motor video
I was looking through youtube at Model A and T engines and came across this.
The guy had a T motor blow up in the rear cylinders so he cut them off with with a hack saw (11 blades) and made a little show motor. his quote "I cut this T model Ford engine in half in 1957 using 11 hacksaw blades. The only part not cut with the hacksaw was the camshaft as it was too hard and had to ground through." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDJxX...eature=related |

Re: Half a T motor video
Now I know what to do with the next model T block that I find with the whole back end blown apart. How long do you think it took him to cut it in half? The head wouldn't be too difficult, but the block. I can not tell you how much I want to build one for myself, if for no other reason than it looks cool. I think I would cut the length of the engine compartment in half as well, it has to look balanced.

Forgot to add this picture
This half engine (actually firing one cyl) was for sale at Chickasha OK Pre-War Swap Meet a couple of years ago. |
