Re: first problem putting car togeather need help
Are the bolts at the frame loose enough? Anything bent?

Are the spark and throttle rods possibly binding on something? Try disconnecting the linkage and see if the column will go up more.

Frames normally bend at the rear motor mount, so even a bend there shouldn't cause your problem. Do you have wood bocks that are too thick? |

Re: first problem putting car togeather need help
is this something you took apart or a bunch of parts your putting together? Car wide that is...Victoria's columns hang lower, but im not sure if there is any frame difference other than body mount holes...I should add they ave a spacer between the column and tank bracket....

Re: first problem putting car togeather need help
Look at the body blocks. The positioning of the blocks is possibly the problem.

Re: first problem putting car togeather need help
Try turning the steering wheel. Just a guess maybe the column is down and when you try to lift it the wheels are on the ground and the pitman arm can't move.

What Bob said! Turn the wheel and hold it will stay in place for you to start the lower half
