Default 1947 Ford beltline trim clips.

Gathering beltline trim for our '47 coupe and have a question on trim bolts and clips.

The trim kits come with 8 bolts, which would be 4 per side and I am wondering where these are located as the trim was off the car when I acquired it.

I did a search on here; but that thread indicated a bolt at each end of each piece. With the hood, cowl, door, and quarter trim pieces that doesn't jive with 4 bolts per side.

Anyone have experience with the beltline trim and can explain where the bolts are supposed to go?

Rich, for sure I know I used two on the rear quarter panel trim on my 42 coupe(one on each end) I'm thinking one on the cowl side of the hood trim and one at the front of the door trim toward the cowl. I had to modify them to fit but wasn't difficult.

Thanks @1942deluxe ; that makes a lot of sense securing the trim at the most vulnerable points.

Rich, I may have used one on each end of the hood molding. I'll check in the next day or so and let you know. I know I duplicated how they came from the factory.

Rich, Square clip on front and rear of the hood molding. Doors use all spring clips.

May have to see if any of the trim pieces I have collected have any square clips
remaining to add one one front of the door spear for added security.

Thanks for the additional info.

When I did my 48, I used the t-bolts or butterfly t-bolts in all the holes. Not stock, but I thought they are better than the spring clips and no one can tell the difference because they are all covered up..

Got them from Restoration Specialties in PA.

Thanks for the source; I'll be ordering some extra t-bolts once I get the trim pieces sorted out.
