Default Help with flywheel problem

I cannot identify nor locate a flywheel starter ring for an 8BA flywheel
with a 91/2 " clutch. The ring has an 12 3/4 ID, has 112 teeth and it is 5/8"
from the tip of the tooth to the ring ID. The 49/53 ring is too large the59a ring is too small. Help will be greatly appreciated.

I have an 8BA flywheel with a 9.5" clutch and I don't see any difference between its starter ring gear and 8BA flywheels with 11" and 10" Merc clutches (just eyeballing them). Are you sure it hasn't been modified?

It just occured to me 10 minutes after I posted that the 8BA ring I purchased is not
an 8BA ring . Still looking for correct info.can someone verify the ID of a 8BA ring.
I have an an idea of tooth measurements from previous posts but now would like to know the
actual ID. Thanks again Jim

Just measured an 8ba flywheel I have (9 1/2" clutch) and the ID of the ring gear is 12 7/8". I bought one from Joe's Antique Auto USA made. $40.00.
part number 8ba-6384. Heated the ring gear on the Barbie and froze the flywheel and went together just fine.

Wll, things are a little clearer for me. I measured the 8BA ring I just purchased. It has a
Ford script tag on it says 49-53 and is 13" in diameter .? As noted my flywheel is 12 7/8"
Must be for another application that sill has112 teeth. I will be more careful in Identifying
my next purchase. Thanks to all. Jim
