rear fenders for pickup/coupe
i have a 31 pickup project thats on the backburner. Its missing the rear fenders..today, i came across a set of used 31 coupe rear fenders that are for sale and a few states away from me that look like they would fit my truck. can anyone tell me if these 31 coupe rear fenders will work on my 31 ford pickup? thank you

Re: rear fenders for pickup/coupe
Looks like you have a 1930 pickup. If the bed is the original narrow body and not the late 1931 wide bed the 30-31 coupe fenders should fit.

Re: rear fenders for pickup/coupe
The fenders appear to be for a coupe/roadster/pickup. However, from the picture, I can't see the notch for the splash apron on the fenders. 28/29 fenders had a rounded area toward the top of the notch. 30/31 fender have a more pronounced square area at the top of the notch for the splash apron. If you post a picture of the front of the fender, I could easily tell which years the fenders fit.

Re: rear fenders for pickup/coupe
Those fenders are definitely 28-29s. Besides the cutout for the splash apron being different, the tails don't rake back as much.

Other Suppliers say that the Coupe rears will fit. If you go to Wescotts site, they show the differences in the Coupe rears and the CCPU rears. There is a slight difference in the downward curve on the CCPU fenders. So, there is a difference. I think it's to accommodate the tail light assemblies on the CCPU. Larry |
