Default 37 V8 intake manifold HELP

I just got a original aluminum manifold for my 37 ford flthead V8. Everything is the same as my cast iron manifold except where the fuel pump breather bolts on, It is 1" lower then the cast one. What do I have to do to use it? Did I buy one that won't fit? Thanks Ron

Use the 1" shorter fuel pump pushrod. It'll fit! DD

Also use the 4 inch oil baffle tube instead of the 5 inch that you have now.

Put the CI one back one. The Aluminum one with the shorter push rod puts the fuel pump real close to the HOT intake manifold. This will cause vapor lock with the new gas in hot weather. G.M.

Or shine up the aluminum intake and run an electric pump if you have vapour lock problems. ..B.

Or make a spacer to raise the pump to ci specs. Best of both worlds.
