Default Howdy y'all!

Greetings from NE Texas. I have been working on my 1952 Mercury Monterey for the past 3 months. So far I have rebuilt the tea-pot carb, rewired the entire car (Painless wiring harness), added power a brake booster, and replaced the vacuum hose with new. I got the vacuum wipers to work using the PB Blaster fix I read about on this forum. (Thanks for that!) Fixed 'some' of the rust... And made new panels in the trunk. The old girl runs really well. We call her Mertyle. I will try to attach a picture if I can figure out how this forum works. I'm sure I will have many questions to ask of the 'flathead gurus' here. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Welcome to the 'Barn! And you done really good figurin'-out the picture postin', too. We have several adults here that continually moan about how difficult it is to learn how to post pics on this site. I like that Merc!

Thanks for the warm welcome. The previous picture was from the day we bought the car. Since then... baby got a new pair of shoes. I like her better in white walls.

Thats a real nice 52. Great to see another one survived. Mine is just a four door sedan but a great driver. Had it out to a car show yesterday and the old teapot and mercomatic performed just fine in the 80 degree heat on a 20 mile drive.
