Re: 40 pickup seat
So I know I'm bringing up an old thread.... but does any one have any photos of the mounts they used for the Tahoe seats?
I have young kids so I am interested in getting seat belts (and using them to strap in a car seat). I've found a set of 2002 Tahoe seats that look like they will fit. I have an idea of how to mount them but am interested to see if anyone has any photos of the mounts they used. |

Re: 40 pickup seat
My only advice on seat belts is don't anchor them to the frame ever. To the cab with large washers.

Re: 40 pickup seat
There has been several discussions regardling seat belt mounting and I have taken a middle of the road approach. The end or door side mounting are into the frame. The middle belt mounts are like the caravan and others - they attach to the seat frame. My personal opinion is that one or the other end of seat belt mounting should be able to break away. If not, when using lap belts which most of us use, in the event of an accident half of you could be in the seat and the rest of you somewhere else - theoretically speaking of course .....

Re: 40 pickup seat
Tom I understand your thought. My thinking is only the, in a very unfortunate event, of a bad crash the early cabs can separate from the frame. Causing sear with the belt. Better to be with the cab not the frame. Just my opinion.
