DeLuxe Coupe Question
Am I correct in saying that a DeLuxe Coupe is one with cowl lights, interior overhead light, mohair interior and rumble seat. If these four items are not present it is a Standard Coupe?
Would there be a big difference in price between a DeLuxe and Standard Coupe? Thanks for any insight you might have. |

Re: DeLuxe Coupe Question
My '30 Deluxe Coupe has all those items. The one accessory that I'm not sure of is the rumble seat. I don't think it's standard, but is optional on the standard coupe.

Re: DeLuxe Coupe Question
30 Deluxe Coupes also have woodgrain garnish mouldings and a pin stripe on the gas tank inside the car.

Re: DeLuxe Coupe Question
Was the roll down rear window part of the "deluxe" package or only an option available when it was introduced?

Re: DeLuxe Coupe Question
Quote:
The adjustable rear window was first introduced in the July 27, 1931 Indianapolis Ford Service Letters which means it came out sometime before this date. It explained that the adjustable window is now standard equipment at no extra charge for installation in the Deluxe Coupe and may be installed in the Standard Coupe as optional equipment for a charge for those wanting one. If a rumble seat was to be installed in a Standard Coupe, then the adjustable window was to be supplied at no extra charge. The same thing came out in the August 1931 Ford Service Bulletin. Pluck |
