Default An Exceptional Photo of Priddy’s Inn Springfield, Illinois, Who Offered Curb Service

Sorry there are not more in the way of automobiles in this circa 1929 photo, but it such a great image we decided to use it as it is a wonderful example of the times. Priddy’s Inn, was located in Springfield, IL. and offered full dining services along with fountain and curb side service. A 1929 Buick is at the curb and it appears that a Dodge Sedan is passing by on the street behind it.

The photo is courtesy of Joe Sonderman who has a Route 66 photo collection that we have been posting in a series.

What a great photo. My mother possibly ate there as she lived in Springfield until she joined the Marine Corps in 1943. Thanks for posting it.

You are welcome.....It is a wonderful photo that gives a good look into what else was around at the time of the Model A. Glad you enjoyed it.
