You can test your magnets with a spindle, which weighs a little over two pounds. A Model T cast iron piston is also a good test weight.

here are 16 magnets like yours mounted on the T flywheel to energise the magneto.

Use that Ford horseshoe magnet and a screwdriver shank to remove metal particles from block bolt holes....
