Strange vibration
Thinking it might be a u joint but it was new when I put it in two years ago. Vibration starts around 45 mph, stays consistent but I noticed as soon as I let off the gas pedal it goes away. So it is only under load that I am feeling it. Vibration seems to be coming from under the car. Any thoughts?

Re: Strange vibration
From recent experience I would suspect the U joint also.
Does it seem like a relatively high frequency? How many miles since the new joint was fitted? Genuine Ford? Needle roller type? What sort of grease? How often greased? Avatar car? AV8? Mart. |

1929 coupe 1936 LB flathead 1939 trans A rear axle. Did the swap in 2000. Can’t imagine more than 1200 miles since then. It was as I was told NOS. It was genuine ford. I greased it completely when installed and put some though the fitting awhile back but I am not convinced how well that works. As far as grease I can’t remember what I used.
