Question Fan Blade ends close to Rad hoses ??

What is the normal distance from the fan blades ends to the rad hoses , seems like I have only 1/8 of an inch from the tips of the blades to the hoses , is there a way to fix this ? What is the normal ? Thanks Barners ..

The engine is a 21 stud , stock 34 Ford 4 dr sedan , sorry I should have posted... thanks Barners ..

Stock? Modified? Might help to reveal which car. In any case 1/8" is generally not enough.

Please tell what vehicle, what engine and what you have already done.
A photo would be excellent.

Another factor...there are at least 2 heights for the stud that positions generator on manifold, differing by about an inch. The low one, used in 1937, puts the stud about a low as it could be on the manifold, from memory. Look at dimension from that stud to top of block.

I cut the ends off the fan blades... Took a marker and spun the fan to make them all equal... Been running that way for a while. Karl

Being the blade is that close probably the best thing to do is trim a bit off the blades, then I would worry about an unbalanced set of blades ?? I'll have to take another look at it tomorrow ..
