Engine numbers

I have two A's on the 30/31 pickup *A668260*
On the 28/29 sports coupe. *A852548*
What do I have? These numbers are off the drivers side on the block

the first number is november 1928 the second number is january 1929

Looks like the pickup is Nov 1928 and sports coupe Jan 1929.

your engine has most likely been changed which now sports an earlier production time. your title numbers VIN should correspond to the correct timeline.... but you never know

Very common to have an engine that does not match the year of the car. Engine needs to be rebuilt, swapped out for one already done and rebuild the original for the next car.

The number stamped on the frame would be the number of the original engine.
