It certainly does seem appropriate. I remember as a boy
riding my bicycle to my neighbor's house to watch
television. I got there just in time to watch the Kate Smith
Show, and a couple of other shows. Her show started out
as a 15 minute show, and I believe it eventually became a one
hour show. The year was about 1951. I remember even as
a kid loving to hear that song----and nobody sang it like
Kate----stilll don't. I only remember two channels that we
could get in the early days of television in the DFW area in
Texas. Thanks for the reminder, and Happy 4th!!!!!
