I think that is their TRANSPORTATION DIVISION, separate from FASTENAL.

Their website is still separate - https://www.fastenal.com/

It seems Fastenal has declined in recent years. We used to have a local Fastenal outlet in my town of population 27,000 but it closed up last year. That store was my one-stop shop for new stainless-steel fasteners of all types for home and auto needs. Such a shame.

Our local Fastenal built a new building in a new development area, was only in the building for a few years and closed. Was a disappointment.

Thumbs up Re: Fastenal Is Now Blue Line Freight

I think ... ... most of the problem is people buying CHINESIUM from HOME DEPOT and such. Not much concern for quality/selection.

All I know is FASTENAL is the best place in town to buy a screw ...

I am so particular that I try to source GENUINE or from a vendor such as -

The Fastenal outlets in my area require business accounts in order to do business with them. That stopped a lot of hobbyist or 'drop in' trade and has to make a difference on the bottom line. I will pay more for U.S.A. made and that alone has me looking for other options when it comes to fasteners. I have used their shipping options in the past and they are typically less expensive than the main stream shippers.

... hmmpf ...

I haven't been in one for years. No walk-in makes it a problem and you have to buy a container size instead of piece count I suppose?

You can source STANDARD HARDWARE from FORD -

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/ha...ce:&pageSize:&

You can also go into a HD TRUCK DEALER and they will usually have GRADE 5 and 8 fasteners.

Here's a go to for early FORD - https://www.amkproducts.com/parts/fo...-to-fasteners/

STAINLESS STEEL - http://www.totallystainless.com/

Good luck finding US-made fasteners. Why do you think Fastenal had them? Although I haven't gone to my local Fastenal in 2 years, I never assumed their fasteners were made here.

Explanation of Our Manufactured in the USA & TAA Icons

- Manufactured in the USA products

All products associated with our "Proudly Manufactured in the USA" icon are manufactured in the USA. Fastenal provides this as a way to identify domestically manufactured products that may qualify for applicable requirements under US Government FAR or DFAR clauses. The FTC’s guideline is followed to ensure compliance with the use of this icon. This icon does not qualify as a certification. To ensure compliance, please make sure your order or request for quote references the clause requirement.

Quality parts are also made overseas. EURO and JAPAN are two quality sources. There are quality tool sources if working on foreign cars. I recently had to but a few pieces from FORD EURO because the are not available here other than CHINA sourced. If you service high end EURO and/or ASIAN, you have little choice for specialty tools.

My concern is with older domestic cars and keeping them AMERICAN. You have to be careful buying from AMAZON or EvilBay.

Manufacturing is still here but you have to pay for it as few can work for a bowl of rice.
