1937 Cabriolet with walls of white
After building the dual exhaust and adding white walls it was a pleasure to back it out of the garage. The old exhaust was hitting the frame resulting in some vibrations. All that is gone and a smooth running flathead with some heavenly tunes emanating from the shiny stainless tips greeted me this morning.
Some folks opted against whitewalls but…hey, this is MY car and I do whatever I want. The radial tires makes the car ride very smooth and ruts in the road are no longer a challenge. All in all, the car is very tight and a joy to drive. While driving through town I saw the car in the reflection in the shop windows and damn…I look good driving it. The 1939 caps looks great with the ripple design. It is a little tall in the nose, I think I have to bring it down about two inches. The office: Not only does it look good, it is very comfortable. What a difference from my ’32 five window. A great start to the summer.

Cooker Classics, 600R16
Yes, I have heard horror stories about Cookers but I have never had any problem with them. I have probably gone through 7-8 sets, ranging from Firestone pie crusts, Silvertown Radials and now these bias looking radials. Interesting fact: My local tire dealer installed them for me but they could not balance the wide fives as they do not have an adapter. Well, I forgot all about it and installed them "un-balanced" I hit the freeway at 60 last night and... smooth sailing. I may not need to touch them at all and the wheels looks so nice without weights. Also, installed a WA 1937 plate with a vintage frame: Wait, there is more: The Optima battery does not too sexy in the engine bay so I opted for the stealth solution: Like so:

Forgot to say, your car looks great. Love all '37's, maybe because they are different or something.

Fine looking ride not sure about the driver as I have never seen him.
Should you need to balance those wheels find someone with a bubble balancer. |

I did not mean to come across as a smart *ss about the whitewalls, everybody has different taste and I respect other opinions.

In my opinion, a Fat Fendered Ford without White Walls is like a day without sunshine...
Your '37 is OUTSTANDING!!!

Re: 1937 Cabriolet with walls of white
Balance the hubs and tires together. Even a modern shop can do that. Or, take it to a place that can spin balance them on the car. Most truck places can do that.

Re: 1937 Cabriolet with walls of white
Thanks all you guys for positive comments, glad you like it. I am excited to be the custodian of this car. I look forward to many miles with it this summer.
Also, I am glad to see all the positive and helpful feedback even though I am pretty much a newbie here. I am sure I will have more questions as we go.
