There are at least two styles: one style is a very large C clamp with a replaceable bit on the business end of the auger. Another style is a bench top affair with a V platform to hold the generator/starter and a screw down auger a screwdriver, replaceable bit. The first style, the C clamp style, is apparently not made any longer by any manufacturer. The second style is usually homemade and bears a resemblance to a drill press.
