33 Tudor finally done
Last weekend we were finally able to finish the 33. It took five and a half years of painful but enjoyable journey. We had a dinner for celebration with all the men who helped me to complete this task.
First photo taken June 2011 at the start of the project. Next one shows Dad (89) and son (18) who provided what I lack, experience and an extra pair of hands The group photo includes mechanics, electrician, upholsterer, painter, body shop man and a machine shop owner who is an absolute artist working with metal. He is the tall fellow on the left and is the one who saved my engine that many of you may recall had a huge oil leak after other shops worked on it. Sorry for the poor shot of the interior. It is a LB kit and fits perfectly well. What is missing in the photos are FORD BARNERS!!!, so many of you who helped me tremendously with parts and advice. Thank you to all of you and please permit me to offer my special gratitute and recognition to DavidG who from the beginning to the end provided guidance to restore this car as much as I could do according to original specifications. I will now focus on improving a few things to make it more driveable. Steering became too stiff and 2nd gear is poping out (already contacted Van Pelt, waiting for his response). Again thank you all !! Manuel |

Beautiful! I had a '33 Fordor once, but it was extremely rough and I didn't have time nor money. Always loved the curved grill and curved hood louvers. Go enjoy!!

Re: 33 Tudor finally done
Manual, You have done an exceptional job bringing this 1933 Ford Tudor Sedan up to its present condition. It must be hard living so far away from where help is readily available. Now you can enjoy the fruits of your labour by driving it. |
