1.when to replace band linings2. thanks 4 all help
hello again- took my reverse band out because reverse did not work well with pedal to floor and lever in a good neutral. despite title of senior , iam inexperienced. when i got band out and inspected it and measured thickness between 1/8 and 5/16 and wear looked even.
ques: at what thickness should lining be replaced? i m thinking of putting same band in without relining. ques 2: the hogshead was not removed, and I noticed that band removal would have been easier with pedals removed. so, any tips on getting pins out? thank you |

Don't remove pedals. If you do not have jiffy bands (bands with removable ears) you should take the hogs head off. The thickness of your bands is OK.

Reverse and brake pedals come out of the hogshead once the nut, washer, and spring are removed. Don't drop them into the black abyss. The low pedal cannot be removed without removing the pins.
