Default Attaching Hood Ornament

Where can I find what I need to attach the hood ornament?
I've probably seen them and just didn't know what I was looking at.
I also have the "Deluxe" badge that I think mounts the same way.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like that takes the “push on” nuts. They cut threads on as you turn them on clockwise. I’m sure NAPA sells them.

Here is another style of Push-on Retaining Clips. They slip on easily enough, but are difficult to remove without destroying them. They may be more suitable than the Screw type suggested above. The "pins" On your 1942 Hood Badge doesn't seem to have any "thread"?

On mind were I will describe as a square N, used for hood emblem and front badge, I will try to post picture. These were used because of crown of hood and are like the ones that hold top grille pieces

Hi; that '42 6cyl badge is 'Gold'. A Salem, Or V8er had some 8 cyl badges [6] reproduced in brass and he could of sold a 100. Newc

These are what were used originally.

I believe that this 1942 Hood Badge for the V8 is reproduced in New Zealand.

I've only dealt with the rectangular version. But I've had pretty good luck by rotating them while exerting just a little pressure to pull them off the pin. May or may not destroy the clip (which is easy to replace) but usually preserves the pin (which is not) enough to be reusable.
