Default Over or Under ?

I understand that early Model Ts had front Spring Perches with two eyelets; one for the leaf spring and the other to attach the Radius Rods "over the Axle, but after 1919 the Radius Rods were attached under the front axle. What is the advantage, either way?

They changed because the earlier attachment was weaker and caused more trouble.

Ok. That's definitely an advantage.

Many folks with the early under the axle radius rod add an additional one that goes underneath. There were many aftermarket ones available. It does give it more stability.
