The car looks like it went through the restoration process a long time ago. It ran and drove when I picked it up, but it's needed a lot of tinkering to get it to driver status. It overall looks pretty good, getting a lot of cracks and bubbles in the paint.

Thanks for the welcome.
I plan on documenting my exploits in hope to help others with their A. I'm not looking to restore, but a "rust-oration".
I'm no Model A expert buy any stretch of the imagination, but a pretty good tinkerer. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Here is a video of it running just after I got it home.

First thing I did was to get the horn working... luckily it was just a bad solder joint at the power terminal.

I suggest you watch Les Andrews videos on Youtube. He covers lots of technical stuff in an easy-to-follow and thorough manner. Learned more about setting the timing in 15 minutes than my Dad had taught me in 30 years and he grew up with A`s! I have the same car in all black

Art, welcome to the Model A hobby. Depending where you live, it is kind of fun to join a local Model A club. You meet a bunch of nice people and they can help you with your A as you go along. But whatever you want to do, have fun with it.

It looks like a great car love the color. I am fairly new model A owner myself, the LEs Andrews books are a great source of info. I drove my car last summer and only did a few maintenance items to keep it running and repair replace what was broken.
It wasn't until this winter that i pulled the oil pan and there was a good amount of sludge that was hanging up inside the car and clogging the oil pump pickup screen, in hindsight i wish i would have done that before i did a lot of driving.
Model A's are a great car to own the car is enjoyable to work on and drive.

I have the same thing happening to my Coupe. At first it rattled me a bit but now I'm like oh well. It's still a Model A and I'm honored to own it.
