1933/34 rad options
I was about to order a new rad for my '33 roadster from The Brass Works until I saw the price $1764.00 YIKES!!! My original rad needs a recore but the upper and lower tanks look good.
Question... What would a re-core cost and is there someone in the Tampa Florida area that could do a quality job?? Thanks for any information... |

For that much money, IF you don't have someone down in Tampa, I've got a good shop up here in Jacksonville 2-1/2 hour drive (and maybe we can meet up in the middle??) Fortunately both my 33 Rads were in good shape so all he had to do was clean and pressure test them.

Recores are about $1,000. and take some time about a month since the cores are made for your radiator.

Re: 1933/34 rad options
I just had a radiator made to replace my damaged one. It was from Johnsons Hot Rods AKA Walker Radiator . Mine through Summit racing was a tad over $1900.00. A recore was going to run me $1,200.00 here in Nevada plus shipping .
I wanted my replacement to be just like the original one. Vic |

Takes a few weeks as the cores are special order. Beautiful workmanship every time. $500 plus tax.

That is a great deal! I had my 32 cabriolet radiator re-cored about 10 years ago - cost me $1000.

One of those "old time" places that is still running. For how much longer? I always take the tanks home while they are waiting on the new cores to arrive. Gives me time to make them very pretty. I bring them back, they put it all together. Used to be $475. The guy apologized when he had to raise it $25.
