Gas Tank pin striping
In the photos I've collected over the years, many cars have pin striping on the tanks under and across the dash area. Some are quite unique designs and others are almost factory looking.
My question is this: Did the mother corp ever do interior striping and is it something to look for in the standards? |

The fuel tanks were striped with the exterior stripe color only on the deluxe models of '30-'31,

The 29 town sedan also had a gas tank stripe. I think the new judging standards are finally recognizing this. I have seen several original examples.

Here is a picture of the gas tank striping on my 1930 Town Sedan; I believe this is correct and like original.
