Looking For Volunteers to help on the MISS SHELLY 2013
This year I am going to change up the MISS SHELLY Award.
As we found out there is no I in FRENDS. There also is no ME in The MISS SHELLY Award. It is presented by Me but it is from us. The change this year will be that it will have a $$$ tied to it. A check will be donated to the Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Orignation In the name of the winner of the Miss Shelly award 2013. I would like some Help in structuring & collecting of Donations. The way I was thinking this years award would work is We would get Nomination Names for the award. Those names will be given to the 4 Previous Award winners for them to deside on the name of the 2013 Winner. That name will be kept secret untill I present the award at the 2013 Barnners Bash in Fla. That will Kick off our 3 Month Donation Drive. At the end of that time a Check will be given to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Origination,in the name of the winner. So if any one wants to help me. PLEASE email me at [email protected] |

Re: Looking For Volunteers to help on the MISS SHELLY 2013
Bill, I think that is an excellent idea. I have a suggestion with respect to the submission of prospective "Miss Shelly Award" recipients’. In order to have everyone (interested in participating) focus on selective nominees, a criteria should be created (that nominees would have to meet to be considered). Nothing really specific, things like their participation on the FordBarn forum, providing useful information, technical and otherwise, etc. (no swim suit competition though), there are quite a few "Barner's" that continue to step up to provide assistance with questions as well as those that help the hobby by providing services like rebuilding various parts, etc. Just a thought.
