Default Glove Box Keys

Is there anywhere I can buy glove box keys for my 40 and 47 without having to buy the complete locking mechanism?

The 47 has a number on the side of the barrel and I suppose the 40 does too but I haven't pulled it out yet. Thanks

There are a couple of locksmiths here on the Barn. Believe they can cut keys based on only the cylinder codes.

Here are the blanks that you want to look for. The number on the side of the barrel (ie FD123) translates to a key punch code that most locksmiths can use to punch a key.

47 Merc,
Remove the assembly from dash; check for the key code stamp. If there is one, I can help you out. Send a PM if you are interested.

If the car still has the original trunk latch, the key should also work for the glove box.

I used a company called Jessers and they made the keys for me. I'll look for their number, but they might be on line.
