Glove Box Keys
Is there anywhere I can buy glove box keys for my 40 and 47 without having to buy the complete locking mechanism?
The 47 has a number on the side of the barrel and I suppose the 40 does too but I haven't pulled it out yet. Thanks |

Re: Glove Box Keys
There are a couple of locksmiths here on the Barn. Believe they can cut keys based on only the cylinder codes.

Re: Glove Box Keys
Here are the blanks that you want to look for. The number on the side of the barrel (ie FD123) translates to a key punch code that most locksmiths can use to punch a key.

Remove the assembly from dash; check for the key code stamp. If there is one, I can help you out. Send a PM if you are interested. Regards, FlatHeadCoupe |

Re: Glove Box Keys
If the car still has the original trunk latch, the key should also work for the glove box.

Re: Glove Box Keys
I used a company called Jessers and they made the keys for me. I'll look for their number, but they might be on line.
