Default 31 Roadster seat question

I started with a project car and since I didn't take it apart I am wondering how to mount the seat back on a 31 roadster. I did a search and see where I have an early 31 seat with the wood attached to the seat. Does the seat back bolt to the package tray support piece? I have holes in the tray but nothing on the seat back itself. My seat looks like the one in this thread. Thanks Ken

Brent, thanks the photos help, but I am still unsure, is the top of the seat attached to the metal tray in anyway or does it just rest against it?

I recall the wood is fastened to the tray with 5 wood screws. The tray is two parts. One part is more or less a permanent part of the body and follows the curve of the belt rail. The other part is a square piece formed into a channel, maybe 4 inches wide (from memory) that can be adjusted.

Here's a section of the L-B installation instructions.
