Default 49 F1 front springs

I have just installed new front springs on my 49 F1 (Not an easy task) but the front shackles still bottom out against the frame. Replaced all bushings and pins as well. Should the front shackles not be "floating" and not against the frame?

Are the bottoms of the shackles pointing towards the front of the truck? It is possible to install with the bottoms facing towards the back and then they will bind against the frame. If they are angled forward it seems the springs would have to be to long to hit the frame.

Yes, the shackles are angled towards the front and are actually hitting the frame. I am afraid the new springs do not have enough arch. I replaced the old springs for this same reason, trying to get the front of the spring to "float" and have a better ride.

My springs a pretty worn out but still have at least an inch before hitting the frame. Do you have any pictures?

Sounds like a problem with the springs being too weak to me.
