Default 4000 holley question

Thank you all for allowing me to join your forum. I'm new so please correct me if I do something wrong before I learn you ways.
I love old cars from the 50s and I'm restoring a 56 thunderbird now but i'm having a rough go of it on this tee pot carb. I bought a kit from Mike's Carb. shop and installed over the week end. I've reset the float a dozen times but it still want's to flood and leak after it idles for a minute. New needle and seat, new gaskets with 5.5 psi fuel pressure. You can see the fuel level rising through the small holes in the fuel bowl and the pump squirters drip.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
