This is a topic that is plaguing me right now as well. Got one of those fuse holders ( & all new wiring, ignition switch, coil) got power from the battery to the starter, to the fuse holder, then...nothing. Pulled the fuse, & it looks good. The first thing I'd check is the fuse itself using an ohm meter, then the contacts (looking for corrosion). Then I'd look at the wire connections.
To prevent the connections failing, I put a SMALL amount of dielectric grease on the wires before connecting them. No corrosion after that!
