I play '20s - '40s music via my cell phone and internet when cruising around. People love it. At car shows I play period baseball games like the 1934 world series or old radio shows like the green hornet or the lone ranger. All this is available free via the internet.

Here's my setup on a wooden mounting base I made (the radio is a fairly modern reproduction, made by Crosley - they pop up on ebay fairly often).
I play period tunes on an MP3 player, with a small AAA-powered FM transmitter plugged into its headphone jack.
