Default E28 Wheel Lock Lug Nut

The E28 vehicles came with a set of unique lug nuts, including 1 special 'lock' nut (see pix) for the spare wheel/tire. Would someone please post a pix of what would be considered an acceptable (i.e. judging) lock & key for this nut. Thanx.

RG&JS Area 16 ACCESSORIES, page 16-1 revised 2011 5 Points

“INCLUDES: All items on the vehicle which were not part of the “stock” production model – both Ford–authorized accessories and Model A era accessories

Required for judging: Model A’s with no accessories are to be awarded full points.”

So by showing accessories all you are doing is setting yourself up for a point deduction!

is it just me or should accessories be considered "extra credit" if they fall in the right time frame, are original, and are show quality?

The Detroit area must have been a high crime area in the late '20's, too! Why else would Henry have spent the extra money for the armored cable from switch to distributor? And locking lug nuts too!

As Vince said you already have 500 points to start. You get a free 5 points (total allowed for the area) by not adding accessories. sounds like extra credit to me.

Judging aside - a picture would be interesting to see.

We have the special nut for the spare, but have never had a lock on the early 28 roadster pickup.
