Default 1941 park lamp socket

I looked to see why my driver's side park lamp wasn't illuminating and discovered that the socket and it's wire had just fallen apart. The small composite washer that is crimped into the bottom of the socket broke at the crimps so there is nothing to hold it in place any longer. The socket itself still resides in it's hole at the top of the bucket.
Does anyone have a fix for this. I can't seem to find a used one or anything that might be the right size to plug into that hole and still be a single wire, single contact socket.
Any help would be appreciated.

get the light bulb number and check the style of the old bulb socket (how it attaches to the light assembly) and then call one of the new wiring suppliers such as Tyree or Narragansett they can supply a new bulb socket.

Could you use this Drake part to effect a repair?

Afraid not. The 42-48 headlight buckets had different internals and sockets.
1940 and 1941 were fairly unique in the wiring department.

Mine were converted to dual filament bulbs by the previous owner , not sure where the sockets came from. Could you take apart an old clearance light to get the guts?

I had a similar problem with my '41 coupe and found that the lamp socket from a '42 - '46 park light fitted perfectly into the parklight of my '41 coupe. the following part from C&G might fit also.

Or this complete replacement is also available:
