yankee mike
There is a member on the barn here, goes by the name yankee mike...Some time back I purchased an item off of him that he was advertising in the swap section, I paid him via paypal, [friends and family] this gives me absolutely no protection should anything go wrong. He never gave me a tracking number...items I had subsequently bought from other suppliers in the USA arrived, still no sign of his! I did a search on yankee mike; it became apparent other members on the barn had purchased stuff off of him, no tracking, causing them to post their concerns....I started to get worried. Numerous pm's went back and forth between yankee mike and myself. He was unable to provide tracking number for the shipment. It culminated with him getting a refund from his original shipper for the original price I paid, and he, to his credit, sent me another consignment, with tracking no, via USPS, which cost more. I paid him the extra amount on the shipping. That package arrived in very good time. To date, the original shipment is who knows where?
The way I see it, he is out of pocket for the cost of the original item sent.... Recently, I saw in the swap column, another item I was interested in; asked if after all the previous fiasco he would sell to me, this time using USPS with tracking. He obliged. Anybody considering buying any item off of yankee mike can be assured of a positive outcome. I am most appreciative of his ethics! An outstanding member of the Fordbarn.

Re: yankee mike
Brian I have to tell you Mike is a close friend of mine and FIRST CLASS period. The Columbia I shipped back to Bryan the other year came from his brother Hot Rod William. That are both as good as it gets. We all trade on a regular basis.

He is one of the best members to deal with here on the Barn. Honest and accommodating a pleasure to do business with.

Re: yankee mike
He is a solid dude and doesn't sugar coat what he is selling . . . he will explain exactly what condition the part is and is always good for his word. I would buy anything from him.
