Default Fatman dropped upright issues...maybe

Hey there everybody. Quick question for those who have Fatman dropped uprights. I got mine delivered today (for my '49 Ford if that matters). I went to push the pins out of them since they come installed in the bushings, but both pins were super tight and had to be twisted back and forth to get them out. I'm concerned that them being that tight will cause a ton of bushing wear. Do they all come that way or is my set the oddball?

Never had an issue with pin fitment.
Make sure that they are lubricated to check fitment.
Then if needed see here---

It's a "by feel" thing. Sounds like what you're dealing with is a little too tight.
I usually have them Sunnen-honed at the local machine shop but that my be overkill for you. Might be able to lightly hone your bushings at home. My guess is it won't be too time consuming since the pins already are a tight fit.......

I have a Lisle master cylinder hone that would do that job PDQ.

Yeah but I can't see spending anymore money when I spent $540 on these. I'm just trying to figure out if all of their sets are like this out of the box. They're going to exchange them for me even though I bought them from one of their vendors. I cant complain about that at all

You say that you could remove them by spinning back and forth.
If that is so, did you lubricate them and re-insert to check fit?

When I bought the dropped upright kit from Fatman 15 years ago all the components fit properly right out of the box. Perhaps their quality control has changed. Sounds like you need to have the bushings honed very slightly. Should be a slip fit with zero play. Willl be interesting to see how the second set they send you fits. Let us know.
