I like this place, most of the time there is some really usefull info Maybe some of the older more wiser folks could explain why when someone asks a question and people don't have an answer they respond (usually) with a smart ass comment? I'm kinda new here maybe I've got some more learning ahead of me

I've been wondering that myself for a along time, especially when asking about any modifications.

I go to a guy named Mike Evans in Lavon Tx for some mechanical stuff. Great guy.
A guy in Garland is lined up to do a bore and stroke job for me. He's done flatheads and hemi's for years. Don't know if he'll pin your block. I've been trying to get in there for months. I think I'm next. PM me and i'll give you his number. There is another guy who has done flathead work, v8. My friend loves the job the guy did on his 454 (i know) I can find his name for you tomorrow. Off 75 in richardson.

also saw this here on fordbarn. Accurate Engine in Ft Worth.

115 Arthur Street
Fort Worth, TX 76107
(817) 335-4483

Talk to Rick. He is the owner.

also a guy in rockwall who does mostly Model "A" 4 banger work but the hot A guys like him Ron Kelly (972)-771-1911

The best pinners are they guys who specialize in irrigation and indusrial power plants and antiques. Maybe some large truck specialists. The harder the parts are to get (either too expensive or hard to source due to obsolescence) the more they need specialized repairs.

If someone can't steer you to a good place near you, you might ask someone who works on heavy equipment, farm machinerey, or a local V8 club member.

I just talked to a guy that does the local model A and v8 club stuff, he said the metal under the seat is very thin and very hard to repair, said he may or may-not be able to repair it, and at that, no warrantee.
Depressing day.
