Sold one to Buy one
Last week I sold my 1937 Ford Deluxe 85. To make room for my new 1929 tudor.

Great looking Tudor! Did the trailer come along for a package deal?

Re: Sold one to Buy one
Thanks guys. Dennis asked if the trailer was included? I purchased the trailer separately from another friend that used it behind a 1932 Frontenac. It's just a coincidence that it matches the new car. LUCKY ME! Jeff

Re: Sold one to Buy one
I'm looking to go the other way.I want to get rid of my standard roadster and get a mid-30's Ford.I also have a 30 roadster pickup,a 31 Tudor, and a 31 closed cab,so I have more than enough A's.

Re: Sold one to Buy one
I didn't have to advertise the 1937 as the previous owners brother bought it back from me.
During my tenure with the /37, I was able to witness the car roll the odometer to 47,000 original miles. Was a beauty to drive. It was the only old car that I own that wasn't licensed. The brakes needed attention, and I never got around to doing anything with the car, so it sat dormant in my garage for 7 years. When we owned our dealership, I would simply put a dealer plate on, and go for a drive. The new 1929 was a complete rotisserie restoration that was finished in 2014. A good friend of mine built the car over a period of 3 years. He did a beautiful job of it. Jeff

Re: Sold one to Buy one
Both very nice looking old Fords.
Nothing bespeaks Model A Ford like a nice '29 Tudor, best all around Model A built. Oh, as well as the '28 Tudor-'30 Tudor-'31 Tudor Very practical model, and hard to beat. Sure miss ours. Get the Tudor book that MAFCA sells looks like a good one! I see they have 'The Coupe Book' out too. https://mafca.com/cart/index.php?show_price=yes |

Re: Sold one to Buy one
Lovely Tudor. Probably a good move. I don't think those new fangled 8 cylinder cars are going to catch on. Too many parts. Cold and sunny here in Kiwi. Happy Motoring.

Re: Sold one to Buy one
Beautiful Tudor and neat little trailer, but I'd only use 8" wheels on a yard cart, not on the road.
That trailer would look nice with a straight axle and 21" Model A wheels. |

Re: Sold one to Buy one
I agree with Tom here on the wheels and axle, plus a pair of rear 29 fenders and license taillight brackets and bumpers... we could go on and on here...

Re: Sold one to Buy one
Sorry Guys, the 8" tires stay on the trailer! It makes the trailer more versatile, as it also looks great behind my Austin Mini with 10" tires. The previous owner towed the trailer behind his Frontenac to Nebraska, and back with no problems. Being towed behind the A at 45mph on secondary roads should pose no issues. During my future ownership, I don't foresee any interstate driving at 75 mph, for extended periods of time. Which would certainly heat the bearings up. I will keep it original looking, like my cars..
It gathered a lot of interest yesterday, at a local car show. I had 6 of my cars on display. I towed it with one of the Minis, it is easier to back up behind the Mini. It is very hard to see behind the Fords. It sure fits the lawn chairs in nicely. . Jeff
