Default Added LED lights to my '35 Fordor - wow!

I installed LED head light and tail light bulbs in my 6v positive ground, generator equipped car. I'm very pleased with the result, much better rear visibility and I can see in front of me much better. They came from LEDlight.com.

My generator's 3rd brush is set for very low output. The LEDs draw so little current, I still show a slight + charge on the ammeter with the lights on.

I also have a wireless, motion sensing, magnetic mount third tail/brake light for added visibility. I feel a lot safer being out after dark now.

Couldn't agree more, if you re staying with the original generator and 6 volt pos ground system, you will love them. Now replace you dash and interior lights with LED's. I replaced my fog lights with LED's too, all from LEDlights in Phoenix. Go with LED stop and turn signals and then switch out the flasher unit for a LED compatible unit.

Love your car.

How sensitive is the "motion sensing" of that third brake light? Does it come on if you just take you foot off the gas or only when braking? Did you get it from LEDlights.com?

I forgot to mention that I have turn signals (signalstat). I bought the recommded electronic LED compatible flasher. It works great.

The 3rd brake is called Bike Spark. Its made for bicycles, but I adapted it to the car using magnets. Google it for more info. It will come on sometimes just by letting off the gas. I like that it does that. It also has a tail light mode that is on when in motion. A very nice safety upgrade that is easily removed for shows.

nothing wrong with that so much better 6 volts no longer a problem as most modern automotive LEDs are rated 6/36 V
