How many of you are working on a 1932 Ford ?

It's a bit complicated because of the way Ford recorded its '32 model year production of what we think of as being a pickup truck. Unlike all of the rest of that year's commercial vehicle production where whole units (complete chassis and body as one) were recorded, only the three major components (B-76 open cabs or B-82 closed cabs, B-78 pickup (beds), and 106" wheelbase chassis that make up a pickup were recorded.

Except for the station wagon, where over 300 were build as V8s, the rest of V8 commercial vehicle production ranged from one to two digits' worth reflecting the late release of the engine for most commercial vehicles and trucks. However given that all the non-pickup commercial vehicles had at least some that were V8s and the chassis only total includes V8s as well, the strong probability is that a few of what we today call a '32 pickup were built with V8 engines. Similarly, to claim that there were none cannot be substantiated with Ford's production records.

I have this one in the pipeline.
BV body, gennie frame with 34 X member and rear crossmember, rebuilt but stock 59AB, 37 trans and rearend. An old rod, save the BV body, built back when. It originally had a TUDOR body on it, but I swapped it for the Brookville. See post #164, when I first got it.
Kept the title, firewall, all the running gear, wiring, brakes, floor boards, gas tank. fenders and running boards.
Also got a new seat, new top irons and dash in the deal.

Thanks for the enlarge! What’s the secret? I must have missed the full size option. Or does this format lack that? I know the HAMB has it.

The older I get the slower I get. Maybe I will get done before I cash in? I am changing the brake shoes now with the correct brake lining. Glad the plates are for life. Had it for 7 years and only put 11 miles on it. I am trying to keep it original as Henry built it.

I'm working on my 32 roadster, car sat for 11 years. House renovation, bad hip, everything else is a priority, always on the back burner. The fuel tank went south big time, trying to get it out so I can restore it (again), won't budge, I think it's stuck on the webbing. So, no excuses, it's time to get it back on the road.

I'm also working on my 3W which has turned into a lifetime project, it is TEN times the work (fun) load.

Great looker! Mine was Washington Blue (mostly) when I used it my last college year in Milwaukee (1964). Still have it, though not too many more miles.
