Size of driver's seat
My first Model A was a 1930 Tudor; my second was a 1931 deluxe phaeton. My current car is a 1931 deluxe roadster. I never had a problem getting into my two previous cars. I could even easily get into my phaeton with the top up. I was in my 30 - 40's when I owned the first two cars. I'm now 75 - I've lost almost an inch in height and about 60 pounds. I have a lot of trouble getting into my current car, especially getting my feet around the peddles and shift. I always thought all model A's had the same interior dimensions, especially for the driver. Am I wrong?

Re: Size of driver's seat
Yes, a roadster is notoriously awkward. You have ro “step in” almost like getting in a bathtub.
Exceedingly difficult with the top up! And the distance between the riser and the hinge pillar won’t let a kid shoe pass. Sorry my post doesn’t offer a solution….none I know |

Re: Size of driver's seat
Hi Jayjay,
Turns out, one of my books has the measurements of all three model A models. Unfortunately, not all not all the measurements are shown in each model. Strangely, the few in the front seat area are the same or very similar. Of course, I've gotten use to managing to get in and drive the car. Thanks |

Re: Size of driver's seat
I have a 1928 Model A Roadster. I am 5' 9 1/2, 185 lbs and get in with some difficulty. I am 77 the legs do not bend easily. Little easier getting in my 31 Tudor. Easier getting in the roadster with the top down for sure.

easy, sell the roadster and revisit what you previously had. I find the vickis the easiest to enter and exit. big front doors. I too have trouble getting in and out of my roadster and cabrio. I am 63 and the size 13 feet and the gut dont help any............ |

Re: Size of driver's seat
I had to sell my ‘30 pickup when my wife found it very difficult to get in and out of (she since had had her second hip replacement). That’s the biggest reason I now have sedans, the adjustable front seat!
