Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
There’s a lot of these crimpers on eBay.
Another company is Winchester electronics. |

Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
The throat looks too small to accept the bullet head to me but you can only see so much from the pictures.
I have one that I have used for Deutsche pins. |

Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
on mine there is a insert made to hold the terminal in the proper place, both depth and centering---you may need to modify or make one to fit the terminals you are using

The quality tools are expensive, though, and the cheap ones often don't crimp worth a damn.

Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
Yes, the question is do the Buchanan crimpers have a large enough throat for the bullet connectors? The one I have for Deutsche connectors will not work.
Just trying to caution anyone thinking about buying one without checking this first. Perhaps someone here can confirm or not that the Buchanan will work. Lots of the offerings on ebay I doubt will accept the bullet. |

Re: Bullet connector crimping tool
Most 4-way crimp tools have a variety of pin positioning tools for all sorts of different size pins. The Buchanan C24 tool looks to be large enough but it's made for simple barrel type crimp terminal sleeves. There would be no positioners but terminals may still be crimped without positioners if the operator is careful.
Some of these tools are set to crimp all the way before the tool releases and opens the jaws for terminal removal. It just depends on how they are adjusted for depth of crimp as to how well they do the job. If the tool isn't adjustable & doesn't lock on the terminal then crimp depth would have to be judged by the operator of the tool. |
