Default Bad fitting door hinge mirror bracket

My 29 Tudor has a side view mirror bracket that bolts to the upper hinge. In order to see correctly out of the mirror, the bracket needs to come in closer to the body. The previous owner told me that he ground off part of the bracket and got it to come in a little closer, but not enough to make it right. I replaced the chrome mirror head with a mirror that angles closer to the body, but it is still not enough.
Have any of you had this problem? Are some brackets better than others? If so, who sells a good one.
Thanks, Neil

I have a pair of the hinge mirrors I bought from Snyders. I have no problem seeing out of either one of them.

Neil,
I have the same problem with mine. I have learned to "lean to the left a little" to use that mirror. I have thought to bend the arm just a bit but I don't want to crack the chrome. I'll watch your post to see what others have done.

What would happen if you switched sides with the mirrors. Move the right mirror to the left and vice versa.

Hi Neil

I may be wrong but that appears to me to be a 30/31 mirror. I have a 28/29 mirror on my tudor and have no problems.

Check out the following links:

Hope this helps.
