I did one myself on a Lincoln Zephyr and followed the very detailed instructions. I think patience is needed as it took me the good part of the day to get it installed but it turned out looking very good. A stapler will really make the job easier and quicker. If you follow the directions ( no short cuts ) you should be OK. There are very good instructions for installing the headliner at the fryer's interiors site.

Hi Dee , thanks for the reply, yes I think a stapler would be better than the tacks, I may use some tacks here and there, , thanks again for the info ... Dale

I installed the Lebaron Bonney mohair interior , including head liner in my 40 coupe. Be patient and follow the directions exactly. Don't forget to install insulation in the roof. I painted my headliner bows so they wouldn't rust and stain the headliner cloth. Be sure and leave enough extra headliner material to compensate for the windshield visors. Make sure your tack strips are fresh and new. I used a steamer to remove the wrinkles but leaving car out in the hot sun will also work. If your garnish moldings have straight slots cover the tip of your screw driver with a piece if electrical tape to prevent an accidental scratch if the screw driver slips. You must have the patience of a toothache. Great feeling of accomplishment when you're done.
