I have a model A engine block with serial number 14 589337 stamped on the side, any idea about this block, could it be a after market or foreign engine block, thanks for your help

Back in the day engine re-builders would stamp a new number on the block to indicate a rebuild. You were responsible to change the paperwork with the dmv to reflect the new engine block number, so there are lots of unusual numbers out there.

Engine #589337 was made on Nov 1, 1928

What car is this in?

Thanks for the comments gents, i recently bought a collection of parts that include this engine block, trans, complete brakes assemblies, distributers, carbs, water pumps, I currently own and drive a 1931 Coupe
