Default Auction time for me...minnesota

Well, my whole life is out in the yard on pallets. Not a health issue, I want to move out of state and can't take it all with me.

I'm not dead yet, and not done playing with old cars, but really...I have too much stuff.
I'm selling most of the cars, reasonable reserve on some, less than what I have in them in some cases.
The link I will provide is really only about 1/4 of the stuff thats online bidding, there will be live auction onsite for the rest of the parts.

Wide variety, A, T, v8, and lots of misc old car parts that followed me thruout my life. Example, in the last load of scrap was my dads tool box that I would have scattered about the driveway when he came home from work. It was rusted out junk...its gone now.

Household antiques, building supply's, stained glass windows, machinery,

you name it.

Not selling everything, but most. 10 buildings worth
are out in the yard now! Hope you local guys can make it! Oct 28.

I will see if I can get my son to come, he lives in the Twin Cities area, it looks like it will be quite a sale.

That's a fine collection you have there. I'm already passing some things along even though there is no current thoughts of relocating. Looks like you are following a good sound plan for the great downsize. Like others, I would like to come to the auction, but we all know where that leads Just out of curiousity, what are some areas you are considering for your move?

Thanks for the nice comments. yeah, I want a milder winter. I have no plans for the deep south, AZ, FL, etc, just a milder winter, no mosquitos would be nice, and perhaps even a bit drier climate.

Being an addict of road trips and out of state swap meets and auctions I thought rite smack in the middle of the country would be best, and that puts me in Kansas.

A few years ago I was hired to haul a TT truck back north from a trip to Chickasha swap meet, and the TT was in Enterprise Ks. I've remained friends with the young man there, very nice fella who is now the big wheel at the Dickenson county historical society.
They have a steam locomotive that runs thru town on weekends, and always need volunteers to tinker on it, may be my new part time job for free rides.

Enterprise is still in the eastern 1/3 of Ks, so not the flat high plains you see out west
Yeah, they have 4 seasons, but short winter, little snow, and many years the ground does not freeze, or not 3 feet like here. Ever wanted a part for your project thats frozen in the ground (after you plow a road to get to it) ?
no more for me

Yeah, they get some hot days in summer, stay in the shade that day like here. Its a little drier, not like out west, but better than MN I think.

Then, once in a while the sky blows up! From Wikipedia, Mn has 400 tornados every year. Ks has 800! so, double by those stats , but I can not remember hearing about 400 a year here, where were they? I've had 3 tornado experiences near me in my life span of 68 years, they are not good, but I'll take the gamble

Still working on getting ready for the auction, truth is I will not be ready 100% by show time. One man operation.

More pics at Edigers facebook thing, and if you click "see more" at the site. Again, only about 1/4 of it is on proxibid. Thanks guys, hope to meet those who can make it.

Yes warmer/milder is better. My late friends estate sale brought unbelievable money from signs alone. Hope you get a good auction house.

Oregon fits, but the politics are pure California! My three buildings are full. Hit a limit, I guess. Newc

You made a wise choice to move to Kansas, very low cost place to live, I live next door in Missouri. I moved here 44 years ago from the west coast and I have never regretted it. Look me up if you want to stop and have some coffee, I'm on your way.

Hey fortyfords, Where did you come from and where are you now. My wife and I just did the same thing, Olympia WA. to Perry MO. Best thing we ever did. Tim
