Left his mark. Made me pause when I saw this notice.

So Sorry to hear. Another great Model A Ambassador has left us. He did a great job for MAFCA and our hobby. Our deepest sympathy to his family. May he rest in peace.

I was also shocked to read this. He was a heck of a guy. Very personable and would do anything for you. He did so much thanklessly for our Model A club and members behind the scenes. He was very involved with the program MEALS ON WHEELS that he delivered free meals to the elderly and shut ins using his Model A. He and his car brightened everyone's day. I remember him saying he was often late to finish his route I'll miss his friendship.

Re: The Passing of Jim Spawn past editor of MAFCA
Ah sad news indeed.
We corresponded a fair bit when he was planning a trip to Cuba with some friends. I had previously been to Havana a couple of times and had an English friend living over there (also sadly recently deceased) who was able to point them in the right direction I think. Condolences to family and friends |

My condolences to the family.
I met Jim a number of times at MAFCA nationals and worked with him on articles I submitted to the Restorer. He was always a gentleman and easy to work with. He never made changes to an article without the approval of the author. Tom Endy |

Didn't he have cancer?
I thought he had beaten it? |
