'32 windshield swing arms...
Just put the windshield together and stuck it in the '32. I had gotten all the swing arm hardware from one of the well known vendors. I have two windshield frames (possibly both early cars?) and both of them have a nut welded to the bracket on the frame. The parts I bought provide a tubular nut for that function. The swing arms I bought fit over the tubular nut, but not over the spot welded nuts I have. Was there a change in design somewhere along the way? Was the swing arm changed to fit tubular nuts? I wound up drilling out the new swing arms to .375 and they're OK now. Thanks for any comments.

Re: '32 windshield swing arms...
The tubular nuts on the brackets on the windshield frame remained unchanged throughout the '32 model year (assuming that I understand your question). I have no idea why the supplier would include separate nuts for the purpose, unless they are trying to be helpful in the event one of the original nuts is broken off or otherwise damaged beyond recall.

I found the exact same issue on my windshield frame and drilled out the arms like you did. Maybe the tubular nuts will come in handy someday.

Re: '32 windshield swing arms...
original `32 swing arms have a .375" hole in them.
Model "A" is 5/16" ( .312) and arms are straight. |

Re: '32 windshield swing arms...
I checked the windshield slide arms in stock mfg by vintique they are .375. The screw kit is sold as a generic kit for Model A and 32 Ford thus you get the extra sleeve. Since you didnt say who was the Mfg or supplier of the ones you got its hard to say what...
