Default strange 40 Ford grille

Has anyone ever seen a sheetmetal grille for a 40 Ford before?

yes, I have a 40 standard one now and have had the deluxe version before. I think that they were made in Argentina

My 40 wagon had one of those in it when I bought it in 1973. Definitely "Industria Argentina"! Back in the 60s probably where JC Whitney got theirs too.

Slightly off topic, but the grill that came with my '39 Deluxe Fordor was stamped "Argentina". Painted silver with no stainless steel strips and no chrome center piece.

Guessing this one has similar origins and the comment about JC Whitney very plausible.
