This is my '40 1/2 ton panel. It was "rough as a cob" when I got it. It is very slowly coming together. I had to replace both lower rear quarters. Dennis/Arkansas

Nice job replacing those quarters, I know how much work that is. I have another truck that needs its quarters done, if I ever get to it.

Here's five of them... The brown one to the left is the one I am working on and opened the thread with. Two others were cut up for parts and two more will make one whole truck.

This one was cut up but I saved the quarter...

Thanks Gearhead. Somebody in Oregon cut up a fairly good '40 and shipped me the rear quarters. Money well spent!

Between you and me, I'm not sure who has/had more Panels. The first parts Panel truck that I bought (the black one in my first post) was a paddy wagon for a small town police station near the Canadian border in Washington. It still had the department's name faintly painted in one of the quarters. Too bad that I scrapped it. I didn't have room at the time to store it. I regret that now, but what's life without regrets.

I can't believe you sold it! I hope you bought something better afterwards. Did the parts I sold you at least come in handy???

Did this one come out of Nebraska? Seems I have seen it somewhere before. May be a different one, but looks nearly identical to one I amlmost bought 5 years ago. Rod

For me it is a sickness. I want to save all of them.

The '53 F-100 front motor mount bolts up to the front of the block around the timing gear cover and to the front cross member, unlike the earlier F-1's the water pumps don't act as the motor mounts.

I have to tease you a bit with that temporary gas tank. You truckers like them simple while coupe guys like them custom.

Sweet, I like yours...easy access! The fenders are big enough mine should fit nicely right behind the headlight.

Well, at least the fenders went to a good home.

I'm all out of stock on fenders.
